Pilates With Even More Purpose: Raising Heart Rates To Reap Rewards
Did you know that only 24% of adults are getting enough exercise to support a long and healthy life? As Pilates instructors, we already help people move with more awareness, control, and ease — but we also have a unique opportunity to support their long-term health and longevity in even more meaningful ways. In this session, you'll gain the knowledge and tools to take your classes further — by incorporating cardiovascular exercise clusters, all while staying true to the flow and intention of Pilates. You'll walk away understanding:

-
The World Health Organisation's Physical Activity Guidelines for adults — and why hitting them regularly matters for both physical and mental health.
-
Why cardiovascular training is more essential now than ever before.
-
Jo's exact exercise clusters you can seamlessly drop into your class plans to elevate heart rates without disrupting your flow
You’ll also create your own movement clusters tailored to your clients and class formats — ready to implement in your very next teaching block. Help clients not just move better, but live healthier, happier and longer.

Beyond the Burn: Building Strength, Not Just Endurance, in Pilates

Most clients come to us wanting to feel stronger — but are your classes actually helping them do that? Too often, Pilates focuses on endurance: high reps, low load, and that familiar burn. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to shift your classes to a strength-focused approach by adjusting just a few key factors, helping your clients build the strength they’ve been asking for.

We’ll move through example strength sets so you can feel the work in your own body first, explore ways to layer exercises, and leave confident and ready to bring these techniques straight into your classes.
